There are two kinds of nitro motors: the 2-stroke and the 4 stroke engine. At lower level races, race length is optional, but must be announced in advance. 18 BRAKES: All cars must have a braking system capable of slowing the vehicle to a complete stop. Bear in mind however, that nitro cars and the engines that power them are very complex, and as such require frequent tuning and meticulous caremuch more so than an electric RC. 5 Track surface and configuration: Authorized surfaces include carpet, dirt, and pavement.
